I have traveled Costa Rica alone and parts of Europe, not to mention many states in the US. My work partners - all men, were against that I was going to Panama alone. I am so happy to have my thoughts and feelings confirmed about solo female travel. I will buy my ticket and have a great time visiting great hiking, birding, and snorkeling areas in Panama. And, most importantly, I will make new friends as I have done everywhere in the world that I have traveled. Pura vida

I loved reading this, it really put me at ease to do what I always wanted to do, travel ALL of Cental America! Of course, like every woman travelling by herself, I wasn't sure I should, I have travelled all over Europe, the South Pacific and Asia alone but have never been to either Central _or South America and it's great to know that it can be done!

Naturally I will have to be careful as I would have to be in my home town, Rotterdam, but to know that it can be done is is fantastic, I always wanted to go there but so far was always a bit unsure, not anymore!
Thanks a lot for a great article, bye for now, Cornelia.
